Hand Pain, Numbness, or Arthritis

Hand Pain, Numbness, or Arthritis in Durango & Lake Havasu

Hand pain, numbness, and arthritis are common conditions that can significantly affect a person’s ability to perform everyday activities. These symptoms may develop gradually over time or occur following an injury, and can result from a variety of underlying conditions involving the joints, tendons, nerves, or soft tissues of the hand. Depending on the cause, patients may experience discomfort, swelling, stiffness, tingling, weakness, or difficulty gripping and manipulating objects.

Hand pain may be associated with overuse, inflammation, tendon injuries, or degenerative changes within the joints. Numbness and tingling may indicate nerve compression or irritation, such as carpal tunnel syndrome, while arthritis can cause joint pain, swelling, stiffness, and reduced mobility. Because many conditions can produce similar symptoms, identifying the underlying cause is essential to developing an effective treatment plan.

Dr. Williams completed an additional fellowship in Hand & Microsurgery; as such, he is a Hand Surgeon. Thus he is well qualified to help elucidate the cause of the symptoms which you are experiencing. Through his thorough history and examination, he can recommend extra testing that may need to be done as well as help you navigate the various treatment options which are available.
